MEET-CINCH A Modular European Education and Training Concept In Nuclear and Radio Chemistry

Hands on training – Pu School - CANCELLED

Due to the latest developments with regards to the COVID-19 outbreak and the fact that many countries have stopped international travel to limit the spreading of the virus, as well as the latest developments in the Nordic area, we are cancelling the Pu School for now.

 

The school is going to be given at a later date, either under the MEET-CINCH project or the new project A-CINCH.

The MEET-CINCH project would like to invite you to the Hands on Training: Pu School that takes place at the CHALMERS University of Technology, Gothenburg (CHALMERS), Sweden, on March 30 – April 3, 2020.

The course provides fundamental theoretical knowledge of principles and concepts on Plutonium chemistry. The theoretical knowledge is complemented by practical hands-on training in the selected radioanalytical methods. It consists of a theoretical component which will be delivered through combination of distance learning via CINCH Moodle/electronic platform and on-site face-to-face teaching. The practical hands-on component will take place in the laboratories at the Department of Nuclear Chemistry of Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. 

This dedicated training course has been designed for individuals with at least Masters’ level Chemistry background, who need to extend their skills and knowledge of nuclear and radiochemistry to the field of application of radionuclides and ionising radiation in analytical chemistry.
